Walcott of Ashland, a coast artillery soldier who bad been sta- tioned at the torts of the Columbia all during the war, has just been re leased from service and arrived in the. city this morning en route home. He says that of the fifty men of the coast artillery regiment who were kept at the Columbia forts during the war only about three are now left.
