The lad's latest escapade was the driving ot a Baddle horse, belonging to Chns. Hoover, the dairyman, near ly to death. Thursday morning Mr. Hoover left bis horse near a Bear crook pasture to look over some cat tie he had grazing there, and In his absence the Snyder 'boy. who was slaying hookey from school, wan- dored along, mounted the horse and galloped away. ' Mr. Hoover as soon as he discov ered the absence of the horse and learned that a boy had driven the animal away hurriedly got an auto mobile and started In pursuit. He finally came upon young Snyder be tween Medford and Eagle Point. The horse was nearly derfd. Sheriff Ter rlll took the boy Into custody and he , will be arraigned before the Juvenile court. - :, , - A year ago young Snyder perpe trated a similar exploit, taking a team ot horses from the country which were tied down town, and driv ing the animals all that night and part ot the next day before he was caught.. - ROBBERS GRAB 150 OF BOOZE BUTTE!, Mont., April 12. Special officers In the employ of the county attorney today selzdd 150 cases of bonded whiskey, together with sev eral cases of other liquors and cham- ' pagne of an aggregate estimated value of $15,000. The liquor was stored in a house here from where it was said to have been stolen last eight after the care taker and his . wife had been seized and bound.; .Today it was traced to the basement of a Business block and removed to the court house. A ver dict for the plaintiff with damages fixed at $80,000 was returned late today by the Jury in the suit of the Baltimore Federal league club against the American and National leagues and certain officers of the defunct Federal league. As the suit was brought under the Sherman anti trust law, the damages will be treb led, making the amount $240,000, if a final Judgment is entered. SABLE CAPE WORTH $4,500 LOST ABOARD C. P. The employes were directed to report all opportunities for employment to Col nol Arthur Woods, special assist ant to the secretary of war in em ployment of discharged soldiers.
