MEDFOliD to-day formally woloonios homo those sol diers and sailors of the republic who have retunuMl from training camps at home, battlefields overseas, and duty on the sea. Tho joy felt over the return of t he living is touched with sorrow for those heroes' left behind on t he shell torn fields of Franco whose memory we honor with stars of gold in our service flags and enshrine with golden halos in our hearts. , It is a source of pride to tho community to realize that wo have so many gallant youths who when the call came, willingly and oagerly responded for the service of their country and like the crusaders of old, fought chivalrously in foreign lands for an ideal tho noblest of ideals, the preservation of the nation's freedom and the frccdon of mankind, These youths of ours have helped write another glorious chapter in the history of Americau achievement perhaps the most glorious of all tho bright chapters that adorn its pages. They havo assisted in the rescue of a world al most overwhelmed by the power of brutal might;-they have had the priceless privelege of helping break foreveV the chains of tyranny that bound oppressed peoples; they have helped hold aloft the torch of liberty, until it lighted the world. t " All of our boys did not reach the battle line all did not even go abroad. That they did not, was no fault of theirs, for tliey were ready and anxious to meet the foe. That they all did not, is because those fortunate enouah to reach the front, proved such indomitable fighters that they vanquished the enemy a year ahead of scheduled time, for the American :: "doughboy",.' proved himself among the best warriors the world has knoAvn more than a match for the machine product of German militarism. 'o these youth and. others like them we owe the nation's security and safety, -our own peace and prosper ity. Their efforts and sacrifices entitle, them to the best we have; and must not end with the welcoming hurrah. We must see that the door of opportunity is kept open to them. They ask no special favors, these soldier boys of ours, who have come back to us, stronger, wiser and better than they went away all they ask is a lighting chance to make good hi peace as they did in war. SAN FRANCISCO, Mar. 3 All re maining Indictments against Edward O. iXolan, co-defendant of Thomas J. Mooney in the prepareaness day bomb deaths, was dismissed by Su perior Judge Frank H. Patrio Gains Twenty Pounds and Health Is Restored ' " A great many people, especially la dles ot culture and refinement feel a reluctance In publicly endorsing a proprietary medicine although they have derived untold benefit from Its use, as publicity Is more or less dis tasteful to them. v To a great extent this is the case of Mrs. D. e! Patrie who lives at the Portland Hotel, Portland, Oregon. However, to use her words, "she feels that she would be ungrateful and de linquent in her duty it she did not tell others of the wonderful benefit she has received from Tanlac." While Mrs. Patrie has lived in Portland a number of years, her for mer home was in Idaho. ' Prior to his death, her husband was one of the -most prominent men in Idaho, havjng been Sheriff of his county several years, and later being elected Clerk and Recorder of Bingham county. Afterwards he was elected Secretary, of State, and at the same time served as chairman of the Cen tral Committee of the state Republi can party. ; In speaking of her experience with Tanlac, Mrs. Patrie recently said, "i weigh just fifteen pounds more now than I ever did in my life, and have actually gained twenty pounds since I began taking Tanlac. My health failed about a year ago. My appetite left me almost entirely, and I didn't relish what little I did eat, and I just felt tired and listless all the time. I was extremely nervous and never slept well, and would just lie in bed and long for daylight to come. 1 finally decided to take a trip back to Idaho thinking that a change might do me some good, but I didn't im prove at all. "In a very short time after I began taking Tanlac I could see that it was going to do me lots of good, and it is simply wonderful the way I improv ed. I have a splendid appetite now, and thoroughly enjoy my meals with out any bad after effects. My nerves seem to be in perfect condition and I am thankful to say that I get good, sound, refreshing sleep every night. It is wonderful how my weight and strength have increased, and I can truthfully say that I am as Well and strong now as I ever was in my life. I never lose an opportunity to praise Tanlac, and when my friends remark about my wonderful improvement, it affords me great pleasure to tell them that Tanlac is entirely respon sible for it." - Tanlac is sold In Medford by West Side Pharmacy, in Gold Hill by M. Jump from Bed in Morning and , Drink Hot Water Talls'why everyone should drink hot water each morning before breakfast. Why is man and woman, half the time, feeling nervous despondent, worried; some days headachy, dull and unstrung; some days really Incapaci tated by illness, y If we all would practice Inside-bathing, what a gratifying change would take place. Instead of thousands of half-sick, anaemic-looking souls with pasty, muddy complexions wo should see crowds of happy, healthy, rosy cheeked people everywhere. The rea son la that the human system does not rid itself each day of all the wasto which It accumulates under our pres ent mode of living. For every ounce of food and drink taken into the system nearly an ounce of waste material must be carried out, else it ferments and forms ptomaine-like poisons which are absorbed into the blood, a Just as necessary as it is to clean the ashes from the furnace each day, before the fire will burn bright and hot, so we must each morning clear the inside organs of the previous day's accumulation of indigestible waste and body toxins. Men and women, whether sick or well, are advised to drink each morning, before breakfast, a glass of real hot water with a teaspoonful of limestone phosphate in it, as a harm less means of washing out of the stomach, liver, kidneys and bowels tho indigestible material, wasto, sour bilo and toxins; thus cleansing, sweeten ing and purifying the entire alimen tary canal before putting more food Into the stomach. Millions of people who had their turn at constipation, bilious attacks, acid stomach, nervous days and sleepless nights have become real cranks about the morning inside-bath. A quarter pound of limestone phosphate will not cost much at the drug store, but is sufficient 'to demonstrate to anyone. its cleansing, sweetening and freshen ing effect upon the system.
