ARMENIAN DRIVE
The closing days of the drive for
funds for the Armenian Relief are at
hand and the funds are slow in com
ing in. Jackson county will want its
record, good -in this as In all other
drives.' The weather has made the
canvass hard and many homes have
not been visited. An effort will be
mode on Saturday and Sunday to
complete the amount asked.
Many clubs and organizations !
' would be doing a fine thing to follow I
the example of the Greater Medford

dollars to this worthy cause this
week.
Let many individuals and organi
zations send their check to Mr. Del-
roy Getchell, the Farmers and Fruit
growers bank designated for the Ar
menian Relief fund. This is the last
great appeal for this fund and should
meet with a ready response.

Stomach Troubles
Are Due to Acidity
Tells Safe, Certain, Speedy Itclli f for
Acid IudiKcxtion
So-called stomach troubles, such
as indigestion, gas, sourness, stomach-ache
and Inability to retain food
are in probably nine cases out of ten,
simply evidence that excessive secre
tion of acid Is taking place In the
stomach, causing the formation of
gas and acid Indigestion.
Gas distends the stomach and
causes that full, oppressive, burning
feeling sometimes known as heart
burn, while the acid Irritates and in
flames the delicate lining of the
stomach. The troublo lies entirely
in the excess development or secre
tion of acid.
To stop or prevent this souring of
the food contents of the stomach and
to neutralize the acid, and make it
bland and harmless, a teaspoonful of
blsurated magnesia, a good and effec
tive corrector of acid stomach, should
be taken in a quarter of a glaas of
hot or cold water after eating or
whenever gas, sourness or acidity Is
felt. This sweetens the stomach and
neutralizes the acidity In a few mo
ments and is a perfectly harmless
and inexpensive remedy to use.
An antiacid, such as blsurated
magnesia which can be obtained from
any druggist in either powder or tab
let form enables the stomach to do
its work properly without the aid of
artificial digestents. Magnesia comes
In several forms, so tie certain to ask
for and take only Blsurated Magne
sia, which Is especially prepared for
the above purpose. Adv.
