the Southern Pacific passenger depot
which has been going on Jor the past
month, will be finished in a few days
and the depot will again be an 100
per cent institution of which Med
ford has long been proud. Before
the painters leave everything will
either be given a new coat of varnish
or callsomlne, even Agent Montgom
ery's old office pipe. In case he does
not carefully watch. It needs a new
odor. Even the baggage trucks will

Lyle Purdin who was a member
of the roast artillery has received his
discharge from the army and arrived
from Camp Leris today. He left Ft.
Stevens some time ago and was at
one ot the eastern camps ready to go
oversea when the war closed.
I. A. Merrlman who went up to
Camp Lewis a few days ago to see
Merrltt, returned home Friday. He
found the boy much improved and in
the convalescent ward under the care.
