THE CITY OF MKDFOKD DOTH
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. It shall be unlawful
for any person to be In any store,
hotel lobby, office, club room, place
of business or public place within the
said City of ..Medford. or on any
street, mlley, sidewalk or thorough
fare , wlthlni said City of Medford
without wearing an influenza mask
consisting of not less than three
thicknesses of cotton gauze covering

until this ban shall be lifted by order
of the board ot. health of the City of

of the provisions of this ordinance
shall, upon conviction thereof, be
punished by a fine of not less than

emergency is hereby declared to ex
ist and it is necessary for the Imme
diate preservation of the- peace,
health and safety of this city that
this ordinance shall be In full force
and effect immediately from and
after its passage by the city council

.'Sec. 4. The diseases which are
dangerous: to the public health, and
which shall he immediately reported
to the city health olfkors are -hereby
declared to be smallpox, chickenpox,
bubonic plague, loprosy, diphtheria,
membraneous croup, cholera, scarlet
fever, measles, whooping cough, tu
berculosis, typhoid fever and Spanish
Influenza." : .
