Your committee bees to submit the following resolutions: 1. Tliut the Juckson county touch ers express their appreciation to the instructors for their kindly and help ful attitude, to the locul citizens who have contributed to the musical pro grams for their appearances before us. to the people of Medford for their hospitality and to the press, for pub lication of the proceedinsrs. 'i. That we commend the Jackson county court for their maintenance of the county health nurse und that we tro on record at this time fayorinir medical inspection, physical trniuiiiL' nnd the continuance of the work of the health nurses in our schools. 3. That we emphasize the need of n lnrecr supplw of trained teachers for the schools of Jackson county nnd in order to secure this 'supply we pledi'e our support to the bill sub mitted to the voters of the state of Oretron in November of this year for the establishment ot two additional normal schools; that we will use every reasonable endeavor to brim: out a full and favorable vote upon this im portant question: and we express definitely our belief that next to the wiuninir of the war the establishment of these normal .schools is the most important ouestion before the peo ple of Oregon. 4. That we ask the directors of the Junior Red Cross and the Heluian relief and of all other war work to take up all matters pertaining to school work through County Super intendent Agor. und that he I'orin a county school committee fur the di rection of till war work in order that the same may be discharged most effectively and satisfactorily to the schools and to the management of these on:nnintions. 5. That we most heartily endorse the progressive and sane administra- 'lion of the schools of this state bv the present state superintendent of schools. (i. That we most seriously and heartily pledge our support aud al legiance to our government in this treat crisis; that it is our hounden duty, at all times nnd in all places, to cive onr .undivided.uiwuxt.,.U. President Wilson nnd his advisors in the conduct of the war: and (hat in the pursuance of this one ureal aim. we hold ourselves in readiness to co operate with our food and fuel ad ministrators to seek everv onportu nitv to impress upon voulh the im portance of lovnltv, thrill and en thusiasm nnd that we wiil seek to promote the welfare of all the ureun izations established to relieve suffer ing abroad and at home: especialv do we pledge our loval support to the welfare of all persons in suffering or distress because the bead of the fam ily or the support of that family is at the front. 7.
