He has been one of the leading and most tireless workers since coming to Medford in all the war activities, and for these Invaluable services alone he will be 'sorely missed. He also found time 'to take an active Jnterest In all civic and public movements. Several months ago Mr. Stripp was elected chancollor commander of Talismun lodge. Knights ot Pythias, and no last night's meeting was his -last with the lodge, tho occasion was made a verltuhlo love feast and fare well In his honor. Mr. Stripp, who Is first lieutenant of Company F, state militia, the Medford company, will retain his commission in that service for some time yet before resigning, and If the company is merged Into tne federal service, as is now contemplated, he will return nnd go with the command into that service.
