The mayor will appoint Night Policeman George Timothy to the position and there seems to be no doubt that the council will confirm the appointment. Deuel, u prominent business man and capitalist of Medford, is named In quite a general report as the principal In n deal among busi ness mon of that city and of the northern end of the county for the establishment of a large general mer chandise business house In Gold Hill. The report includes the suggestion that the storo will contain n depart ment for every line of trade required In llio field.
