The members of the company still In service at Fort Columbia are euvious of the 30 just transferred and are hoping for a simi lar transfer In the near future, as they are weary of garrison life and aro pining for activo service abroad. Two of tho 30 boys transferred to the now battery this week are Dean Stacy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. D. Stacy, and 1 1 ur ton J. Beeman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Beeman of Gold Hill, who arrived home yesterday afternoon on a furlough which was to have lasted until Sunday. But to the bitter disappointment of tho two soldiers and their rela tives they received telegrams last night ordering them tp return to Fort'V Slovens at once. They departed for the fort this morning.
