MAY 7, 101 UTILIZES FORCE OF GRAVITY TO GENERATE POWER Inventor and Scientist Claims to Have Discovered the Method of transmuting the Force of Gravity Into Other Forms and Sail Air planes By Dead Reckoning. (Hy John K. Latlirop, Special Cor respondent.) WASI1IXOTON', I. If Kiscnliulli's claims are valid, he can realize in substantial form this dream: Send mi airplane, currying eight men and 10 tuns of bombs, from .1 l'lieific coast city lo llerlin, without slops en route, and blow up the kai-bl-r'n I'olNdaai palace. REG X MISSION FOR RUMANIA ESCAPES HUNS Eventful Flight of Americans From Jassy Dodge Germans at Odessa and Fired Upon In the Ukraine Special Train Provided but Many Adventures Encountered. l.OXUO.V, Muy 7. In un eventful flight from Jassy, me itiimanlan capital, tho American Itcd Cross mis sion to Ilumanla, which now hus ar- rlvod in Loudon, oseaped from Odes sa :i hours before the Cicrmuns en tered It only to bo fired upon by a German battery la the Ukraine 200 miles north of tho famous lllaek Sea port. Tho (iormuii shells did no damage to tho Heil Cross train, falling about half n mile from it, hut several mem- bors of tho mission, breathed a :dgh of relief when this came to an end after five minutes which had seemed liko hours. When tho mission left Jassy it was known that tho journey llke'y would bo .dangerous, deports In Jassy as to the whereabouts of the Germans varied greatly but It was fairly clear that they wero within 5(1 or 00 miles of Odessa und that their advance parlies might be encountered along the line. Most of tho parties on tho train were officers and privates of the French mllltury mission 'to Ru mania and II was hardly to be ex pected that German guerilla bands would mako any distinction In favor of a few American Jted Cross uni forms. (liven Siiechil Traill. The American Hed Cross mission left on the third of six trains which curried tho allied missions from .los sy. Tho first train left at noon March 9 nnd Iho other trains followed at lnlervuls of two or three hours. Kach train was provided with footl for a mouth. Tbcro wero no dining carH and the food was cooltcd In two military food kitchens aban doned hy Russian troops which were carried on a freight car on the end of the train. Thi-eo other freight curs loaded with rails, ties and rail way iron ulso wero curried so that tho road could ho repaired quickly In case of accident or If tho Germans had torn up the line. Tho train on which Iho Americans traveled was one of tlio most extra ordinary combinations of railway roll ing stock ever seen. American doc tors nnd officers had a train class sleeping ear whllo the nurses litul a second-class sleeper. Just outside Odessa the engineer became dissatisfied with the flow of rubles and cognac and went on a strike. The French officers tried to reason with him, but ho was obdurate and departed with tho engine nnd tho box cur, leaving tlio remainder of the'! train standing on tho main line. He had chosen a rather critical time, for reports were current that the Ger mans wero likely to reach the rail way at any moment. Tlio striker apparently suffered' a chango of heart soon after he left the train, for tho next day when the train was a hundred miles or so beyond Odessa, ho with his engine and "homo" caught up with 111', train. He begged the French of.icers lo take him back on their rn terms.
