Mrs. Trask has sold her placo on Llttlo Ap plegato. A few years ago ttwas no unusual sight to see Mrs. Trask carry a sack of flour from Talent to her homo, a distance of ton or twolvo miles over tho mountain. This would seem a wonderful feat to a woman of this day. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Vandorsluls nnd Miss Alice, their daughtor, of Grenada, California, Mr. and Mrs. R J. In a jiffy the sheriff was on tho scene and nfler diligent search tho man was located in nn old barn, rlothcd and in his right mind, In the happy land of dreams. It seems tho man had removed his ovcrshlrt for the purpose of washing It, which was a very snne thing to do, If he only had one, but doubtless this gave Mr, Jeffries his Idea. Mrs. J. H. Puller and her sister Mrs. Elmore, who Is camping on the Puller ranch, wero shopping In Ash land Wednesday. Miss Malty Turner, who has been spending her vacation with her aunt in Ashland, has returned home. Mr. and Mrs. II. L. The annual hayrack ride of the Epwortb, Lague occurred Tuesday TALENT TALK evening when thlrty-flvo or forty of tho young peoplo rode to Ashland and had a pleasant ttmo at the Holms sulphur baths. Tho members of tho Christian church gave an Ice cream social at the church recently. The Whites, bringing in the most, won, making tho blues entertain tho rest. A very enjoyable evening was spent. The cool weather of Thursday Is vory ploasant after the heat of the few previous weoks. Mrs. Garvin's cat took an aerial flight tho other morning and porched on the cross-arm of an olectrical polo. lo refused to como down and wns rescued by Fred Cook, who shinned up the polo and brought him down. Further improvements are to bo made on tho school grounds in tho near future.
