Griffiths and Wyntt went to the
natatorium together, and Wyatt, who
is a good swimmer, dived into the
pool where the water Is eight feet
deep. Griffiths followed him a few
seconds later and dived In the same
placo, thinking that he waer there
was only about three feet deep. He
Is a very poor swimmer.
When Wyatt came up to the surface
he saw Griffiths struggling In the
water and Just sinking. Only by the
hardest kind of work, during which
the drowning man struggled with htm
and fought him off. did Wyntt finally
succeed In getting Griffiths out of the
pool. In fact. It looked several times
as tho Griffiths' frantic struggles
would sink huth men.
