LOG LODGES FOR F. W. Salter of this city has been1 awarded the contract for the eon-j stmctton of two lodge, each HxJ4 feet. In Crater Lake national park. The lodges will be built of logs. The work of construction will be begun cn July 1. Ote lodge will be placed at White Horse at the Medford entrance to the park and the other will be built at the Pinnacles of Sand creek en trance. The lodges will be nsed as headquarters for the registering of visitors to the park, the checking of autos aad other vehicles. The logs will be cut oa the ground, and the lodges will be supplied with water pumped by gasoline pumps. Another much needed Improvement which will be made at Crater Lake park this summer will be the instal ment of a plant to pump spring water up to the camp grounds at the rim of the lake.
