MAY Ifi,' 1017 TOCAL AND PERSONAL A special military train passed through Medford on Tuesday bearing 100 member oC the regular army coast artillery from Angel' Island, near San Francisco, to Fori Warden, near Seattle. Among the soldiers were A. M. llordan, former building mover of this city, who left Medford about a year ago, and Charles Muel ler, who with his father formerly had a ranch near Contral Point und who left Medford about six months ago. Both Berdan and Mueller enlisted re cently at Sacramento. Not a few had wooden guns on their shoulders and others carried rakes and hoes, Tho costumes of many of tho children woro varied. Headed by a large flag and with each man carrying a small flag camo tho Rogue River University club of Medford.
