Oro Jy . nd NEURALGIA Dtnnlt Eucalyptus Ointment T aiL DRUO TOt Tur r ?e Js eoc A surprising number of motorists haven't the slightest idea where their storage battery Is located. Some are entirely unaware of the fact that they have a battery and that the operation of starter and light and in most cases ignition Is wholly dopendent upon it and Its well being. Tho result is that the battery Is ignored and aftentlmes harmfully abused, until it runs down and falls to do its work. "Most battery troubles that come to our attention," says V. A. Gates, of the local Prost-O-Llto Battery ser vice station, "are duo to lack of knowledge of the function of the storage battery and the attention it requires. "If every motorist could realize that a storage battery is a perishable article, which is highly sensitive to abuse and neglect, a great deal of In convenience and expense would be saved. "Just as driving over glass and najjs abuses tires and running a mo tor without oil will burn out the bear ings, so will lack of care and atten tion bring the storage battery to grief. Tho battery experts at our service station, Pacific Highway and Main street, cheerfully explain to motorists all about their batteries. Under our service plan, we are prepared to as sist the battery used In a material way If he will call regularly at our station for service." Automobile Notes The Oregon Motorist, published nt Portland by W. li. Smith, is a new publication. It is a splendid booster for good roads. A tire pressure gauge is worth its weight in gold to the motorist, as it win suve many dollars in the course of a year. Don't nuess nt the pres sure in your tires, but make sure it is right. Some people pretend to tell the pressure by noting the resistance when they kick the tire. This tells nothing nnd is not a reliable method. A. V. Walker has returned from a trip to California. W. K.
