Fred Elder of Lake Creek was
among the callers for dinner Thurs
day. He was out nm'rlng arrange
ments to store a lot of hay here un-
til' the roads were so that lie could
haul ft to his ranch. The hay came
out on the train Saturday and ho is
storing it at this writing. He thinks
that he will have to feed for at least
three weeks yet.
Mr. Wideman, who is living In the
old Hitchcock place, was here Thurs
day for a load of lumber.
There was another car of hay
passed through here Thursday for
Derby, and another car for Carl
Stanley, representing the Stanley
Bros.
'.Newt Garmon and family, now liv
ing on the old Pool place on the east
end of Big Stlckey, were here Thurs
day trading with our merchants. H
says that he can do just as well here
with our merchants as he can any
where, so lets well enough alone.
W. D. Roberts of Antelope came
in Thursday with a few sacks of grai
for our grist mill, taking back with
him some of the products of the grist
mill and also a small lot of lumber,

month ago, fed them some apples and
sold four of them for about fifty dol
lars and had the two loft. He gavo
five dollars a head for them.

The latter went out on Tuesday to be
treated by a specialist in Medford and
was on his way home.
Carl Stanley brought In a box of
bacou Saturday morning and shipped

Last Wednesday evening the
Halnes-Wllbur Stock Dranlatlo com
pany came out on the P. & E. motor.
Thoy had to leave their seven trunks
until next train to be brought out.
They took rooms at the Sunnyside and
showed for four n'ghts. Tho fust
and second nights I attended and tho
performance was vory good. The
next night I did not attend and they
are to show again tonight, (Saturday)
