GERMANY WILL NOT ABATE SUBMARINE WARFARE WASHINGTON, March 1G.-A per sonal report on conditions in Ger many and the events leading up to the break between that country and the United States was mado to Presi dent Wilson today by .lames W. Ger ard former American ambassador at Berlin. . Afterward it was learned that there was nothing in the report to change the situation from the viewpoint of the United States. . The former ambassador expressed his belief that Germany is staking everything on tho ruthless submarine campaign and that failure of thk would brighten prospects for peace. He was with tho president for more than an hour, repeating and amplify ing tho statement already mado to Secretary Lansing, in which ho satd Germany was determined to put no restrictions upon tho relentless oper ations of submarines, despite the prospect of war with tho United States. CENTRAL POINT The many friends of Mrs. Hoy Nichols will regret to learn that she Is in tho hospital at Grants Pass, where she went to undergo an opera tion and we all hope that she will soon return home fully recovered in health. The Sunday school at Butte Falls is a decided success. Last Saturday T WITH SAGE TEA If Mixed with Sulphur Darkens so Naturally Nobodv can Tell. It The old-timo mixture of Snpe Tea nnd Sulphur for darkening Rray, streaked and faded hair is grandmother's recipe, and folks are apnin using it to keep their hair a pood, even color, which is quite ' sensible, as we are living in an age when a youthful appearance is of the greatest advantage. Noaiiays, though, we don't have the troublesome tusk of gathering the sage and the mus?y mixing at home. All drug stores sell the ready-to-use product, improved by the addition of other ingred iwnts, called "Wyeth'g Sage and Sulphur Compound" for about 50 centa a bottle. It is very popular because nobody can discover it has been applied. Simply moisten your comb or a soft brush wilu it and draw this through your hair, tak ing one fmnll strand at a time; by morn ing the gray hair disappears, but what delights the Indies with Wyeth's Snee and Sulphur Compound, is that, besides beautifully darkening the hair after a few applications, it alw produces that aoft lustre and appearance of abundance which )f 10 attractive. This nady-tn-u?e preparation i a delightful toilet requisite lor tlnise who deiire a more youthful ap pearance. It is not intended fur the cure, juitiatioB gr (-mcutiuu of disease, BUTTE FALLS though stormy, tho attenuance was There Is a movement to have the next soldiers anr sailors reunion held at Butte Kails.
