OF VALLEY HEALTHY Chief Quartermaster Nprstrom, of tho local nuvv recruiting station, has made n very interesting observation oncoming the hcnlthfulnoRB ol ogue Hlver valley. Out of fifty ap pllcaulfl, forty have, physically cua'l fled, being eighty per cent, while the general average of successful exami nations through the country, Is bl.t twenty per cent. Another Interesting feature is that while the average age of applicants has been IS and 0 months, the aver age chest expansion has been 4.4 Inches, one half inch above the aver age. The results are concrete facts showing tho remarkably favora'ile conditions existing In Medlord and vi cinity for the robust physical develop ment of the youth.
