A short program was ren dered as follows: Mm. J. H. Bell inger sang a vocal selection, pinning her own obligato on the violin with Jlrs. Lou D. Jones accompanying' on the piano. She responded to a very hearty encore. Mrs. C. C, MoCurdy gave a beautiful piano solo and had to respond to a second selection also. Most delicious refreshments were served by the committee, Mrs. Kveret Kails, Mrs. J. T. Davu and Mm. Henry Marsh. All noted Mrs. Kails a charming hostess. " ." Much of his writing is done with an object in vicuvas was Charles Dickens, and "Justice" was the cause of a thorough investiga tion and reform of the prison system in England. The installation was performed by District Deputy Grand Master A. W. Storey of Ash land, assisted by a staff of Ashland members speciully prepared to repre sent grand lodge officials. After the business of the lodge was transacted all present were invited to the ban quet room and a most inviting lunch was served to the guests and mem bers. The officers installed were: Dr. A. R. Hedges, noble grand; J. F. l'ropp, vice gland; W. li. Miller, re cording secretary; F. K. Redden, fi nancial secretary; II. C. Mackey, trensurer; 1). M. This, organization, of which President Raymond Poinenre is the head, was formed for the pur pose of providing funds so that the children in very poor homes where the fathers had been killed could re main with their mothers. The College Women's club of the Rogue River valley met this- after noon with Mrs. Wagner of Ashland. Mrs. James Campbell of Medford had charge of the progTam, Current Events. The social committee con sisting of Ashland members was as sisted by Jfrs. Porter J. Neff. The Grizzlies, with their invited guests, held their first dance of the season Friday evening at the Nata toriuin. About thirty couples were present, and a very enjoyable even ing was spent.
