A fitting conclusion to a notable
year of successful social utfairs was
tlie alumni annual Christmas bull
which occurred Monday night. The
largo Xatatorlum hall was fittingly ar
rayed for the occasion, being trans
formed by hundreds of (.'lirlstimu;
trees, greens and other natural deco
rations. The orchestra was partially
concealed beneath a beautiful canopy
of green and white In the center of
the dance floor. About the hall were
placed white lattice work units, effec
tively trimmed with natural cedar, red
polasettlas and tiny 'red bells. On the
age was placed a beautiful Christmas
tree, from which glowed multi colored
gilts. Interspersed with tiny bells.
Santa Cliuis and a stocking-covered
fireplace were not lacking from the
holiday atmosphere which prevailed
throughout. The punch booth was in
deed rustic, being a correct reproduc
tion of an old well set iu the midst of
miniature forest.
The grand march formed at 9:30 p.
ni. and as the many couples, took their
places in the line a scene of beauty
and splendor was presented. Wonder
ful evening cowus of every hue, the
pastel snaues predominating, were
worn by tho young ladles, offering u
pleasing contrast to the dark clothes
of the men. A dlversiiied order of
dance held sway until nearly 2 a. m.,
