David Caplan was found guilty ot man slaughter by a Jury in the superior court here Friday at his second trial for complicity in "the murder of Charles Hagerty, one of tho twenty persons killed by an explosion which destroyed tho Los- Angeles Times building, October 1, 1910, and which resulted in sentences of life Imprison ment for James B. McNamara and Mathew A. Schmidt and a lessor sen tence on a dynamite charge for John McNamara, former secretary-treasurer of the International Association of Bridge and Structural Iron Workers. Ho will receive his sentence on Mon day. Caplan's lawyers stated a mo tion would be made for a new trial.
