U.VSKINS, B14 Kant Mulu Street, rancher of Gpzell, Cal., was here Wednesday on a visit to the Pearsons home. He was accompanied by his wife and daughter, Miss Henry re maining for a few days visit. F. L. Caton has sold his wheat crop to H. O. 'Nordwlck at Medford and will deliver it in the near future. Mrs. Loren Gregory and little daughter spent Wednesday with rela tives in this district. Mr. Headly of Medford, represent ing the J. R. Watklns Medical Com pany, was through this section last Tuesday. C. A. Dlckison, II. U. Nealon and G. P. Hall left Tuesday tor a short outing in the Evans Creek district. They returned the following day, claiming that they had had all the fish and venison they could eat. It developed later that they had par taken of a meal at the home of a frlond, where fish and deer meat fur nished part of the menu. Otto Jeldness was out this way Thursday delivering new Fords to Col. Washburn and to William Klnny of Sams Valley. Mr. Jeldness claims that they can sell Fords faster than they can get them from the factory. As the open season for game birds Is fast approaching, extra precau tions against trespassing should be taken this year by our farmers, as every farm contains many Bob Whites and Hungarian Partiiches, which enn easily be mistaken by the town hunter for other game birds. Miss Sue Lydiard leaves next Tues day for Los Angeles, where she has a position In the city schools. : Mr. and Mrs. Hammel of the Eaglo Point district, accompanied by Mrs. Hammol's sister, Miss Delhless Mln tcr, wore pleasant callers at the Nealon home last Sunday. Mrs. Rlngold, nee Miss Eva Lyd iard, who has spent several weeks here with relatives left Thursday for her home In North Dakota. Our community won second prize bn district exhibits at the county fair, scoring some 80 points, which was quite a surprise to many, as very little interest was taken this year by many of our ranchers. Trobably we are taking too much credit when we say "our community" won the prlzo, hut as a matter of fact, more than 95 per cent of the exhibits como from this community, although the district Included all the territory between Cold Hill and Dcvenger Gap.
