mind tho requirements of stale school

private loans, thus indirectly benefit

tho fact that the loans are all, as it
were, indorsed by the whole neighbor
hood, believe that tho indorsement of
tho local association plus the pledge
of 10 oer cent of tho amount of each
borrower's loan nnd tho 'various
safeguards will muko for the loaning

terms as are now possible. They also

work securing subscriptions and are
-meeting with excellent results. Busi
ness men of Medford are a unit In the
opinion that in the establishment' of
this Industry lies tho commercial sat
vntlon of the valley, and at con
siderable nersonal sacrifice are
liberally subscribing to the fund.
Yesterday at noon the following
subscrlntlons had been received, a
total of JIG, 550, leaving 9,450 Htill
to be raised. With the raising of
this amount, Mr. Bullls will agree to
finance and operate the saw mill him
self. This morning additional signers
had been secured leaving (8,450 to
