The bonds are un salable until validated by the courts, In the opinion of a majority of the member of the local bar, as expressed be fore the bond election, the proceedings were void and the city merely losing time by tying itself up in needless liti gation. ."Whether this view is correct will soon be known. It is announced by Mr. Bullis' attorney that the injunc tion proceedings will not affect Mr. Bullis' plans, and that he is in the east trying to secure the establishment of a lumber mill along the proposed railroad all of which is most commendable. But the bonds were voted primarily to open up the mines, and assurance of the timber and mineral development should have been secured before the bonds were voted. The city should not have been involved until there was a definite proposition so as to leave its hands free to aid in securing an extension of the Pacific & Eastern to eastern connections. Since the bonds were voted the owner of the Blue Ledge mine has passed away, leaving the property to his aged mother. It is not at all probable that she will operate. The property will probably be sold. Twice during the present year Mr. Towne had given sale options on the property, winch did not Jook like operation. Inquiry at Eureka failed to discover more than a pass ive interest in the project. Eureka's energy is being spent in securing an extension of the Western Pacific. The first question asked there was whether a survey showed a rail road from Medford feasible and practical, and when in formed that no survey had ever been made, even to the Blue Ledge mine, great surprise was expressed. There is no question but that if survey and cost estimates proved the proposition practical, substantial aid could be secured iroin Eureka. . . Undue haste made wasteland Medford must mark time while, the courts unravel the tangle. o'clock ovorv Rundny evening, tf you need Inspiration Ft tend this meeting. Bihlo K-lioul at 9:45. Even though you have a broom for every room, and a little army -of maids to do the work, still you cannot keep your home clean. Because a broom is not a dirt remover, it is a dirt distributor-. After the broom, the dust cloth. The broom reaches only the surface. It lea ves 1 he finest, deadliest particles of dirt embedded in the very nap of your rugs. It distributes in the air dust which settles in the drapenes. Why is it that broom-swept homes have to have special cleanings every fall and spring? Why do curtains haw, to be taken down and renovated? Why does wall paper have to be changed or at least cleaned every year or so? Because the home is not kept clean. 1 Have a Frantz Premier Electric, Cleaner in your home and you will never have to have any special cleanings your home yvill be clean all tbe time.
