cess of formation for that purpose.
S. S. Bullis, president of the. Southern
Oregon Traction Company, 'who is an

scribed $10,000 to a fund of $25,000
for that company. Tho fact that Mr.
Bullis l willing to subscribe tho I a eg
est : individual. Biitii, thus giving the
controlling interest to other local
business men, w ho will subscribe the
romainlng $ 15,000, ought to be taken
as evidence of bis confidence in the
enterprise and the profits of its
operation. Mr. Bullis expresses a
willingness lo invest In this project
purely ns a business proposition.
Hox Factory Will Follow,
The saw mill contemplated in this
project will yield a constant payroll
of approximately $2,000 a week. The
box factory will follow with a larger
payroll, because It will require a
greater number of operatives. This
will make a fair start out of tho rut
of inactivity from which local people
have suffered severely for years.
Other enterprises will quickly follow
in the wake of these institutions of
business, and thus we will recover
our business equilibrium.

terested In this enterprise "will ask
other local men to invest what they
