II li A policy of caring for federal soldiers upon retirement to civil lite, patterned after that of tho British government, which secures employment for en listed men retiring from the army, has just been inaugurated by the United States, It is announced in a pamphlet Issued today by Adjutant General McCain, explaining how the soldier may take advantage of lucra tive offers, provided he has demon strated his ability for civil employ ment during enlistment. Recruiting officers are named in 23 states through which applications may be made 'for stato or municipal employment. .The pamphlet empha sizes the fact that the army offers exceptional advantages to those who desire to fit themselves for almost any lino of vocational work.
