A thousand people are wanted next Sunday, August 27, to scale the sum mit of Mount Ashland and participate In the project which is to result in secure a number of movies as perma nent reminders of the trip. The Grizzlies of Medford have been in vited. Various methods of transpor tation will be available. Hood ltiver is about the only town in the state which is opposing the establishment of auto camp grounds as a public convenience. Ashland set the pace In this respect, since which many other towns have fol lowed suit. The only difficulty con fronting the project here is that the grounds vill have to be enlarged In view of the increased tide in motor travel over that of last season. Lewis Butts, who was shot and killedby John Allen, August IS, nea'r Rock Creek Ilutte, linker county, was a nephew of Festus Butts of this city, who resides on Mountain ave. The killing was laid to jealousy. Al len has been charged with second de gree murder. The uncle residing hero, acquainted with the circum stances In the case, asserts that the shooting was entirely unjustifiable. IMiss Helen Dlckerson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. O.
