One good lumber mill, or a beet, sugar factory, or a copper mine in ojMrntion will quadruple these figures. Our Greatest Needs FIRST Irrigation to increase and diversify produc tion and insure it, regardless of weather vagaries. SECOND-Manufacturing enterprises to consumo local products and furnish imyrolls, such as beet sugar fac tories, canneries, lumber mills, etc, and local sentiment of loyalty to home industry. THIRD Development enterprises, such as railroads to the mining regions ami the coast and the operation of mines, quarries, cement plants, etc, to utilivse natural re sources. The iiIhivo figures are neeuinie and furnish a true in ventory of our condition. Knowing it, aud realixiug the remedies, we have only ourselves to bhime if we do not apply it.
