a small charge of dynamite to split

itself, badly lacerating both his hands
and inflicting other wounds in his
chest and shoulders. From the
wounds fragments of copper were ex
tracted. As no metal is contained in
the fuse, the cause of tho explosion
nnd the presence of the metal par
ticles is something of a riddle at
least Painter's palms wure riddled.
He is making a good recovery.

show given at the Comus on Tuesday
evening for the Christmas tree fund

worthy project. Miss Claire Tucker
