County Taxpayers' leaguo convened
at the assembly room lu the Public
Library, In Mcdford, at 2:30 o'clock
p. m., Saturday, December 18th, 1915
for the purpose of perfecting tho or
ganization and the election of a board
of forty directors.
There was present the organization
committee and a good representation
of Jackson county taxpayers, repre
senting a membership of stxty-clght.
Tho meeting was called to order
by temporary chairman, J. A. Wcs
tcrlund, who stated, the object of tho
meeting and announced the progress
made.
Upon motion by Dr. J. M. Kceuc,
seconded by Ilonton Dowers, It is or
dered that n nominating committee,
for the purpose of choosing a boaid
of forty directors, bo appointed at
once by the chairman, such commit
tee to report immediately. As such
nominating committee there was ap
pointed Dr. J. M. Keono, Ilonton
Howers, E. J. Kr.lser, A. H. Fisher,
and J. II, Clarkin. Upon report of
this commlttco the following persons
arc unanimously elected directors of
tho league, to nerve ns such for tho
ensuing year, viz.:
