wide on tho hill side of the road in
excavation, with an additional eight

rock roadbed, which will take care of
(he heavy summer (ravel.
The highway commission also con
templates surfacing with crushed
rock all soft places on the Pacific
highway, from Stcininnn to the Cali
fornia Hue, and eventually, as money
is available, concrete will bo laid for
the entire distance. The rock on tho
hill sidu of the road eventually may
be utilized for a base for further
hard surfacing.
