Haniisli's auto to Medford to see tho ball game. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Sullivan, tho superintendent of the Fish Lake Ditch company, were here also San day for dinner. They had been up to the intake of the ditch and return ed this far on tho way home. MY. S. says that they are preparing a road so that tbuy can haul the material to construct a dam, or the foundation of a dam, at the outlet of Fish Lake. Tho present structure will bo about twenty feet high and so arranged as to be the foundation for a till higher dam. They arc planning to have Fish lake as a largo reservoir to hold wa ter enough to supply tho valley with all the water that will bo needed. Mr. Lydiard of Table Hock and wifo called in tho afternoon to tall; with C. K. .Johnson over tlio phone, Mho had taught the Table Hook school, but tho principal reason of their coming to Knglo Point was to see tho ball game between the Knglo Point and Table Hock teams, which reunited in the Knglo Point team coming out ahead, the score standing t to H in favor of Knglo Point. Monday we held our logulnr an nual school meeting. There were quite a number of the voters turned out and some who were not voters, ns under the new school law, as in terpreted by the ehairman, no one can vote or hold an office in the school district unless their name is enrolled on the assizor's hook as a bona fide taxpayer. Tho quotion arose when the uume of Mis. L. K. Haak was presented as a candidate lor director tor oen year, and it was found that her name was not on the list, although Iter unsound is among tho heavy taxpayers of the county, but the matter was settled by having the deputy assessor agree to assess hor, so alio wai olected by the clerk cHsting the vote of the house for her, uud Fred Polotize was re-elected as director for three years, adn J. V. Mclntyro re-elcoted olerk in the same milliner. Tho meeting decided to cm ploy another teacher, the fourth, and lutve the high school grades taught. The Talent school district No. 22 held its annual meeting at the school house Monday afternoon. After tho minutes tho clerk's report was read and accepted, following which the election of a director and a clerk was in order (I.. A. Morso was re-elected as director and K. II. Adanison was elected clerk. The meeting adiourned with WTIIinin Iteesou succeeding G, A. Morse as ehairman of tho board of directors, Tho Parent -Teachers' association met nt the schuolhoiiso Tuesday even ing for their regular session. The ut teudauco was rather limited, yet tho program and discussion was very good T.he teacher wore all absent, being out of town on their sninnier vacations.
