The Apple Boom is Dead
And the coroner has gone home, but
the apple industry Is very much alive.
The wisest of rhc growers arc working
together, instead of "every man for himself,"
as was the case two or three years ago. The
losses attending the record-breaking crop in
1912 will not cannothappen again. At last
'the tbpheavy apple industry is being sup
ported by the strong base of diversified farming.
If your business or interests touch the
apple industry in the slightest way, you
should read the searchingly frank article,
Apples of the Northwest

Your Farm Needs this Outfit
The combination of a Stcrlinn thresher with an I II C
casolinu enfcinc, both mounti'd on one truck, is one of the
hiKKcst cxpcnsc-reducint; nml labor-savinn combinations
ever brought to your attention. With this outfit, you can
do your threshing practically alone, so little help is rcmiircd.
You can also do small jol3 for your neighbors and in this
way pay for the outfit. When threshing is over, you can
dismount the thresher nnd mount a saw in its place. Or,
you can bell the 4 or 6-horso power engine to a pump, corn
(ihcller, grinder, etc., in fact, use the engine for a large
variety of purposes.
The Sterling thresher is no practical and easy to handle
that a boy can attend to all duties connected with the thresh
ing operation.
