meet of the public schools Friday aft.

Hnnnerx took the broad jump with
n leap of 13 feet. Ho is 10 war
old.
The Kooscvelt took nil throe phees
in the broad jump nnd pole vault,
first and second in Irish jump. Jack
son took fir-l in 33-yard dash, o0
and 7o-ynrd dash.
The Lincoln school took the
eighth grade championship banner,
swamping the Washington with a 2

Lupton were the surprises of the
meet, mnking record time in their
events.
The pole vault wns won by Lin
coln in both seventh and eighth di fe
lons, nnd tho high score banner will
go to this school.
The seventh grade championship

This division will bo decided on Mon

were stars in this division. Charles

maker. Ho did it in 70 seconds.
Jackson in only n fifth A grade boy
nnd about 10 years old. A future U
predicted for him. Hibdon is- tout

grade, schools.
The Roosevelt entered only the
sixth grade division, the jitck-on
sixth nnd seventh grade, while
Wiisliingtun nnd Lincoln had men in
nil three division.
The boy deserve much credit for
the faithfulness- nnd itn they enter
ed into this meet, nnd the hard work
they put into getting in condition for
the meet. If this U kept up every
year by the time the youngsters
reach high school new state records

son of the Oregon Stnte Soeinl Hy-

the department of social hjuiene of
the Greater Medford club, was n de

per cent of the insanity and six to
eight per cent of the blindness ex
isting in the world today are caused

ence and ignorance on the part of

State Social Hygiene society wu or
