The wA important point, and that which arouses the keenest interest, is the fact that Mr. ltart, ns tho result of thorough investigation and experi ment, intends to demonstrate, the fact that hog raising on n commercial baxis can ho profitably conducted with complete elimination of nil the objectionable features which ordinar ily accompany the raising or keeping of domestic animals. He provides the animals with am ple forage by ulnnting n mixed crop of alfalfa, sweet nnd Dutch clover nnd the new Hnnn's wonder forage plnnt, making n balanced ration which, in connection with automatic fountains for drinking pubises, al lows the pigs to run at will and nvoids all the odors, filth nnd noise which ordinarily result from the use of feeding nnd watering troughs. By thus eliminating the old-fnhionid "pig pen" with its accompanying an noyances, the rnisinif of hogs is freed from the unpleasant features usually associated with raising stock for market. The development of Mr. Hart's plans is bcin closely watched by the Agricultural department nt Washing ton, I). This will bo of benefit to the entire vnl ley, ns it will bring Jackson county to the attention of the hog fanciers and model farmers nil over the coun raising jwrk. Mr. Hart, who has in try ns a region peculiarly fitted for raising pork. Mr. Hart, who has in vestigated the hog industry all over this country nnd Canada, stales that nowhere else has he found climatic nnd Boil conditions so well suited for hog raising ns here.
