club and a great success from a social
as well as a professional standpoint.
Tho address by Prof. Swcetser was
especially helpful as well as timely.
Tho subject was handled In a new and
interesting way. Biology and nature
study were shown to bo tho logical
avenues by whjch to approach tho
subject of Sex Hygiene in tho public
schools.

CONTEST FOR WATER
POORMAN'S CREEK ENDS
The Bnuten-Pearee contest regard
ing- tho uc of waters of I'oonuan's
creek was settled by stipulation of
tho parties Thursday.
By the terms of tho stipulation,
Mrs. Dnuten's right is conceded to
be of prior date to Pcaree's and that
she is entitled to the use of six min
ers' inches of water during the irri
gation Fenon begiuning April 1 enoh
year. Tho surplus water over fix
inches is to be allowed to run in
creek past her point of diversion and
will be nvnilable to the Penrcc's use
as will also the water during the win
ter. The settlement of the rontost in
satisfactory to both sides nnd when
passed upon by thu statu board will
definitely determine n matter which
has been in dispute for many years.
