Tho second day's operations of tho
new public market nrmed as great a
success as the first. A noticeable
decrease tu prices was noted, duo to
the fact that supplies were heavier
and the demand lighter, owing to tho
day being Monday.
Several grocers of the city appear
ed at the market today and purchased
supplies for their stores uptown, pay
lug cash to tho -producers.
The new market 1s proving very
popular.
