In the course of the discussion. Dr. Roddy staled that Superintendent Campbell, had told the committee, that ho thought he would be able to have the Southern Pacific furnish the rails, on nominal terms, provided the rnilroad was Riven nn option to pur chase, which would make the line a Southern Pacifiq branch. Mr. flnnictt stated that he was un alterably opposed to the Southern Pacific securing any more of a stran gle hold on the valley than it had now,, and that solution lay only n building an independent line to the const, which the committee wa working ou ut the present time. While it :s not a performance that would stand tho light of nnnlization or criticism, it was evidently written to nmnsc, and" thoroughly fulfilled its mission. "Over Night" is n comedy some what on the style of the Hoyt plays, the humor lying in tho situations rather; than the subtle delineation of character, and I nra not altogether feure but what there is still a large field for this kind of light comedy. Tho play requires n good even cast, yet there is no star part that stands out. Last night's cast was so wejl balanced that it would be an, injustice to praise" one 'actor more than an other, t,o wo will just give one hearty hurrah for the wholo company nnd they may be assured that Medford extends the hand of welcome for their return. ji- -..
