Mr. Han cock seems to bo very much pleased with the appearance of our little town. Mrs. J. L. Gardner of Prospect came in Tuosday afternoon ou the P. &. E. and spent the night with us. She. was acjompanjed by her little nophow. She had been summoned to Idaho on account of the death of her sister, and at her request brought her little nephew home with her. They took, the stage for, Prospect Wednes day morning. Last Saturday Miss Maud Poachey of Ashland, who has been teaching school at Drowusboro, came out on the Eagle, Point-Lake Creek stage and spent Saturday and Sunday nights with George W. Daley and Mrs. Howlett. She closed her school last Friday, March 13. Among other things our town council did last Saturday night was to pass an ordinance that all kinds of stock and fowls must be "kept oft the streets and alleys of our town, and 'it was also decided that it would be unlawful for anj; one to ride a bucking horse inside of tho corporate limits. There was quite a crowd enmejn frijni the neighborhood north of herd last Sunday with their horses, but there was no riding done, and 1 hope that tho time Is not far distant when our merchants will either vol untarily or by law close their places of business on Sunday.
