Lincoln, with his clear vision, his ingrained sense of Justice and his spirit of kindly frlondllness to all, forecasted our present struggle and saw the way out. What he said should be pondered by caplt list ami worklngmnn nlike. He spoke as follews: "I hold that while man exists It Is his duty to improve not only his condition, but to assist In ameliorat ing mankind. Labor is prior and in dependent of capital. Labor Is the suporlor of capital, and desorves much the higher consideration. Cap ital has its rights, which are as worthy of protection as any other rights. Nor should this load to a war upon property. Proporty is the fruit of labor. Property is desir able, is a positive good in the world. Let not him who is horsoloss pull down the house of another, but let him work diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assur ing that his own shall be safe from violence when built." The Heal Progressive. I hold It to bo our duty to see that the wageworker, the small producer, tho ordinary consumer, shall get their fair share of the benefit of business prosperity. Hut It either is or ought to be evident to every one that business has to prosper be fore Anybody can t any benefit from It. Therefore. 1 hold that he is the real progressive, that he Is the gonulue ehamplon of tho people who endeavors to shape the policy alike of the nation ami of tho several states so as to encourage legitimate and honest business, at the same time that he wars against nil crook edness and lujiibtlce and unfairness and tyranny In the business world ' -f V TOO LATE TO CLASSIFY --- . -. 4- FOR SALE At the west side stablos Sat., Feb. 24th, one pair mules and some good young work horses. 289 FOR SALE Eggs for hatching, am booking orders now for the singlo comb White Leghorn, Wyckoff strain, $1.50 for 15 oggs, $8 per 100. Writing of her condition ut that time she says: "Last wlntor I was completely run down and felt fagged out all tho time, was nervous and had indiges tion. "One of my friends advised pie to take Vluol nud it has done mu great good. Tho tired, worn-out feeling Is nil gone and I, tun strong, vigorous nnd well. The stomach trouble soon disappeared nud now I eat heartily and have perfect dlgostlon. I wish every tired, weak, nervous woman could have Vluol, for I never spent any money In my life that did me so much good as that I spent for Vino!." ThouBauda of women and men who wore formerly 'weak and sickly -owe their nr orient rugged health to the wonderful strength creating effects of Vlnol. If you nro pale, weak, ner vous and upset you owe It to your self nnd your family to try Vlnol. It will build you nnd mako you strong. If It does not we give back your money. It Is both futile and piluchlevouH to endeavor to correct tho evils of big business by tin attempt to re. store luminous conditions as they wero In tho middle of hist century, before railways and telegraphs had rendered larger business organism tlous both Inevitable and desirable. Tho effort to restore such condi tions and to trust for Justice solely to such proposed restoration Is its foolish as If wo Hhould attempt to arm our troops with the flintlocks of Washington's Continentals tuatend of with modem weapons of precision. Flintlock legislation, of the kind that seeks to prohibit nil combina tion, good or bad, In bound to fall, and thu effort, Insofar as It accom plishes anything at all, merely meaiiH that somo of the worst couibluatloiiM are not checked and that honest bus iness Is checked.
