299-mile drive in three hours mid

a new world's speed record for 200
miles. Ralph De Palnin, driving a
Mercedes, wns a close second, com
pleting the race in three hours fifty
eight minutes and cloven seconds.
Mulford averaged 73.2 milos par
hour over tho course, shattering all
