'12 Fruitgrowers BankBldg To the Public (Dally California!!.) Without doubt tho best attraction, de lighting both young and old, that hns yet visited Uakerfleld Is tho Hai lies' wild tinlmnl circus. Tho circus renched hero inrly this morning and tho work of un loading over 20 cars was carried out rapidly and systematlcallv, ns was tho work of pltchlrg the targe main tont and ft number of smaller ones comprising tho circus. Tho feature of the whole was tho quiet and orderly way In which uvery- thlng was done. A lnrge crowd ntteud d this afternoon, taking In tho side rihow previous to entering tho big tent ror tho innlii performance. It Is safe to say that the linrnes circus Is unique In that tho many spvcles of wild animals are tho actual performers, and do what the human beings do In tho ordinary circus, tho most wonderful thing being that tltelr different turns are tho result oi Inflnlto enru and patience, making these accomplished animals nil tho more valuable. The tent contains the cages for the animals and three ilngs, one of which Is In tho form of n nteel cage, where the rlilof performances take plaOe. One could not help noticing how well kept and fed all the nulmals were, and what splonl did specimens, nil being, comparatively iif tx young ago and In tho pink of con dition. The beasts had tho flru of the Jungles In their eyes. The whole performance Is excellent, I'lcphnnts going through amusing antics, bears with savnge eyes going through various tricks. Orotips of hlgltjy trained 'Amb ponies, goats and dogs riding, gal loping ponies are some of tho wonder ful 'things done. Perhaps the best part of Hio whole, and the most wonderful t. all, was tho performnneo of Captain Stonewall's train sea lions. These strange animals went through the most surprising tricks, balancing and Juggling nets, combined with baseball and other nets of skill that n humnn being would llnd most difficult to essay Tho per formance of tho leopards, tigers and lions was most exciting, theso fearsome beasts at times showing tholr latent sav ng6 nature, snarling nnd growling to bo pacified the next moment by their train er. On one act a charming, yet ft mere stripling of a girl, Miss Martha Flor Ino of Paris, put theso animals through Jrtnny tricks, showing her skill nnd com ploto control over tliom. Tho sight ot lions, tigers leopards ami pnnthers, goats, seals and dogs, all riding, gallop ing horses, was a new and exciting spec tacle Mllllo Harnos nnd Trainer Kelly In tho lions' net showed what training will do to a wild benRt. The cllmnx or tho whole was when Kelly entered tho cngo of the untamed, man-enting Hon, Caesar, for n tew moments, dodging the murdeioun paws, and bloodthirsty Jaw of this wild monster. Another fine feature was tho net of Louis Itoth, with his mixed troup of double striped llcngal tigers nnd Nubian lions, the kings of the Jungle. . i Hnsklns for Health. Van Dyke Realty Co.
