dent Kerr, the athletic management,
the Portlnud-Snlem high school
alumni, and other organizations at
the Oregon agricultural college will
prosent a number of handsome tro
phies and peiiuautH to the winners
of the various ovents at theiuter
scholastic track meet that will he
held here on May 20. This is one
o'f the many means employed by the
college to encourage tho boys of Or
egon to develop themselves to tho
highest possible physical perfection,
in addition to their mental devel
opment secured in the classes and
lecture rooms.
Each high school is allowed to
send four men, whose expenses are
stood by the agricultural college.
Mcdford will send a team of five
men, the local school bearing tho ex

saloon found that his bicycle was

that had been occupied by his. He
took it, thinking that the owner had
taken his.
The boy ran foul of the law when
he did not take the bicycle to the
police, knowing it was not his.
Friends told him to do so but he
said he was going to keep it until
his was returned.

lor's court Friday morning.
