Employes of the United Stntes su
piumc court today nro busy explain
ing nn erroneous report that that
tribunal had summarily dismissed
the contempt proceedings ngalnst
President Samuel (tampers, Vice
President John Mitchell and Secre
tary Frank Morrison of the American
Federation of Labor, which grow out
of the Ducks Stovo and Range com
pany boycott.
The court merely hinted that It
would refuse to consider the question
whether the Ducks company should
be granted a permanent Injunction
restraining the labor men from con
tinuing the boycott.
The boycott was settled out of
court recently, and the refusal of the
court In the Injunction matter will In
no way affect the present main Issue,
which Is the matter of contempt of
court.

$100,000 had been sent from points
between there and the Pacific coast
to Washington demanding that San
Francisco bo given the exposition as
a business proposition, and also be
cause it had raised $17,500,000 for
financiering It."

embezzlement, was released today by
order of Chief Justice Claybaugh of
the supreme court of tho District of

When tho Azcona case came up
Justice Claybaugh denied more time
to the Mexican government to securo
evidence against Azcona, declaring
that for an offense alleged to have
been committed five year ago, the
request was unreasonable. Azcona's
counsel asked his client's release,
which was ordered.

trip in the phenomenal time of 18
days. This iu an unusual lecord for
this time of the year as the roads
arein the worst shape but even with
such handicaps as the car had t-he
plowed through the deep snowdrifts
and arrived in the factory city he
