ing the score 14 to 0. During this
halt Grants Pass resorted to a punt
ing game.

both in team work and speed.

play, which is proving a puzzle to

bring Medford High school the
championship.

Oregon Trunk railway, which Is
building southward along the Des
chutes river, has' filed a 3urvey for
an east and west lino-In the govern
ment land office lj-re to run from a
point on Crooked river south of
Atndras, Crook county, to which
point rails will be laid from the Co
lombia river by February 1, 1911,
thence to a point in Harney, county,
dear Silver Lake. The new survey
will open to settlement much of the
fertile lands that He within the
Lakeviev; land district and covers'
ome,of the finest valleys in Central
nnd Southern Oregon.
One fenture of the new survey is
fhat it will give the people of the
north end of Lake county a com
peting line against the Oregon' East
ern, which -is surveyed U-ough
Christmas lake, Edith;' Horse moun
tain and other valleys ia the north
,-end of Lake county.
