Dear Sir: I am not very well ac­
quainted with you, but 1 thought you
would not taka it amiss for me to tell
you about the lovely visit 1 have en­
joyed here for the past few weeks
with old friends, after an absence of
ten years. J once lived on the Mi Car-
gar place over twenty week*. There
has been many changes in the thing*
that are seen, but the love and friend­
ship which I have felt since here has
not changed or diminished by absence.
My visit here and the very great
kindnesses that 1 have teceived will
ever bring to me pleasant memories
which cannot he obliterated. I f I were
a queen I could not have been treated
better and * am proud o f my old home
and my many friends, so noble and
true. Some of them I did not see, but
I think of them just the same.
