NORTHWEST M ARKET REPORTS Portland—The egg m arket is hold ing steady at the 125-cent basis for large lots, case count. Efforts have been made by some dealers to break the price still further, but w ithout suc cess. as receipts so far have not been heavy. I t is only the backw ardness of buyers th a t has broughtjthe m arket to the present level. T here was a little b e tte r demand for poultry and the m arket was a shade firmer. Dressed m eat receipts w ere sm all and the m arket was quiet. There is a very [fair m ovem ent in the apple m arket.
