Consor returned Tuesday after an extended vacation of more thin three months. About half of this time was spent in . Los Angeles and San Francisco, the remainder be ing spent in Portland and Willamette valley towns. George says while they spent a very pleasant vacation, he is glad to get back home again. George has been cashier of the First National bank for about seventeen years and this is the longest vacation he has tak en during all that time. Times. In last week's Issue the statement was made that one of the members of the School Board had urged the fight between two school children. This fight occured near the shop of W. G. Scott, and he was the member referr ed to, but upon closer Investigation we have found that we were misinformed as to Mr. Scott urging the fight and make this statement to clear him of the accusation. Miss Audrey Woolery of lone, polled the highest vote In the Pacific North west's Jamestown Exposition contest and was therefore entitled to name the chaperon for the party of girls to be sent on a free trip to the Jamestown expoiltlonby the Pacific Northwest. Miss Woolery has chosen Mrs. C. E. Redfield of Heppner. Times.
