School team last Friday evening at

Hollon Parker Loan Co., of Spokane,
will be at the Bank of Heppner, until
Saturday morning of this week and is
prepard to make loans on improved
farm lands, and would be glad to have
any one contemplating making a loan
call and see him. Rate of loans 8
per cent for 3 to 10 years.
A Box Social will be given at the
Strawberry school house, Saturday
evening, December 22nd. A short
program will be given after which the
baskets will be sold at auction. Every

Joe Thornburg were awarded the prizes
as representing the best in their re

er, and Mr. M. F. Parker.

cember 22d, and help us pay for our
Sunday School organ.
Will and Lee White accompanied
by H. A. Arensmeyer made a trip to
the Columbia river for wood last week.
They report wood very scarce, but
plenty of wild geese, if they could only
get close enough to kill them.
Miss Anna Leach visited Straw
berry school last week. Miss Leach
Is visiting her friends before departing
for Idaho, her future home. We wish
Miss Leach might visit us more often
